Tahoe Chalet Inn, Themed Weddings for Hindus, Christians and Everybody Else
The Tahoe Chalet Inn sits next to a busy five lane road. Tahoe Chalet weddings are performed in a secluded area tucked away behind the main hotel off a back alley. Tahoe Chalet has a cute chapel that seats up to 80 people, but in the summer many couples prefer being married outdoors, just outside the chapel in the wedding gazebo. Surrounding the chapel are shade trees and a playground for children. The Tahoe Chalet is known for culturally diverse weddings. Four or five times a year Tahoe Chalet hosts five day Hindu style wedding extravaganzas. They have also arranged for Ethiopian style weddings. If you just want a quick wedding, show up in the lobby, and they will get one of the priests from the nearby St. Teresa's Church to come over and perform the wedding.
Currently, Tahoe Chalet does not arrange beachside or mountaintop weddings. All weddings are performed onsite. There is room by the gazebo to set up tables for a reception, but you will need to have the meal catered. Tahoe Chalet staff will be glad to help you find the right caterer. The Tahoe Chalet prides itself on providing its guests with unique experiences through its many specially themed rooms like the Cleopatra and Geisha rooms. The Tahoe Chalet tries to provide the same type of uniquely crafted experience for its weddings as well.
