Live at Lakeview Summer Concert Series
Nestled in the newly revamped Lakeview Commons, the 'Live at Lakeview' Summer Concert Series is an exceptional way to support the South Shore community, drink some suds, and enjoy free—often local--music. Started a few years back after the completion of the new Lakeview Commons, the concert series has become a hallmark of summertime South Shore revelry, allowing the public to come together in one of its’ most beautiful locales to celebrate the bounty that exists on this side of Tahoe. Located where Hwy 50 and Lakeview Ave. come together, the Lakeview Commons is one of Tahoe’s most beautiful public spaces and is proudly showcased with the accompaniment of live-music.
From reggae to soul to jazz--just about every musical genre is represented at these concert events. To put on the shows, most local/regional bands volunteer; also, many local businesses along with a few bigger names help finance the events. Additionally, each event acts as a fundraiser, so all food and beer proceeds go directly to community charities and projects. Last year the Summer Concert Series included acts such as Arden Park Roots, Lavish Green, The Congress, 40-Watt Hype, Tracorum, American Jubilee, and local favorite Jelly Bread.
This coming summer’s concert series looks to be just as rousing as the last one, so whether you live in South Lake, or are from out-of-town, make sure to join the festivities for at least one of these awesome admission-free community events…
