Fox & Hound
One of the best aspects of Lake Tahoe dining is the ability to choose the view for your meal. The Fox and Hound Bar & Grill, located 7,380 feet above sea level, provides amazing Carson Valley views as well as peaks of Heavenly Mountain Resort and the surrounding Tahoe Rim Trail.
Family owned and operated since 1991, the Fox and Hound has been the go-to destination for skiers fresh off the hill, along with Tahoe natives. Located minutes from Heavenly Mountain Resorts Boulder and Stagecoach lifts, this proximity and ease of access can't be found anywhere else on top of the mountain. Owners Harvey Grime and his son Matt Grime have created a menu that combines traditional American cuisine, handmade pizza, fresh Mexican choices, and their new addition — a full BBQ menu and catering options. They also serve an extensive breakfast menu featuring everything from their Hold Em’ Pancakes to my favorite, the made to order Breakfast Burrito. I've been coming to this eatery for over 7 years, and the same staff is there to greet us and often remember our last visit! The atmosphere is family friendly, with a small arcade, over a dozen flat screen TV’s, as well as an outside deck with plenty of seating. They are also popular for their live music shows throughout the year bringing in local musicians such as Jerel Dutton, Lavish Green, and Craig Lind (just to name a few). So did I mention the view? You can enjoy seeing the expansive views of the Carson Valley with friends and family by your side.
The Fox and Hound continue to dish out quality food & drinks year after year. Visiting the restaurant will have you coming back for more, making an impression that will last. From dine-in to delivery, you will not be let down.
