Set on 40 acres of wilderness at the top of Echo Pass, Adventure Mountain has been offering families a safe place to enjoy the snow for many years. With so many ski areas in the area, many families with younger children struggle to find a low-key and affordable place to bring the tykes for fun-and-play without the intensity of a full-on ski resort. Located at the top of Echo at 21200 Hwy 50, Adventure Mountain is both accessible and reasonably priced.
With over 15 groomed sledding/tubing runs, Adventure Mountain offers plenty of space and options for those wanting to fill an afternoon with snow-play. In my experience, many tourists coming to Tahoe are often confused about where to go sledding, because there are so many snowy slopes in all directions. Unfortunately, this often leads to groups parking and sledding on the side of the road: not a safe option! Adventure Mountain completely solves this problem by providing an established area for these families to go and enjoy the snow in a hassle free, low-stress environment.
If you and your family end up at the top of Echo Pass and want to enjoy Adventure Mountain—but forgot your snow-gear—worry not. The facilities include a pro-shop where winter/snow clothes are readily available for purchase. In addition, if you need a sled, tubes and sleds are both available for rental. A two-man sled goes for $10/day, and inner-tubes go for $20/day. All told, to utilize the slopes and grounds of Adventure Mountain, your family will be charged $20/vehicle/day; in comparison to the amount it costs to go skiing, this is an insanely reasonable amount of money to pay for an entire day of family entertainment.
With well-manicured slopes, a new 7,000 ft. Day-Lodge and extremely affordable pricing, Adventure Mountain is a great option for your whole family to enjoy…
